The WHRJ noted the intimate partner violence (IPV) was among the most prevalent kinds of abuse suffered by women and girls in Jamaica. It aimed to examine, in particular, the factors that are associated with violence against women and girls, the impact of violence on women’s physical and mental health as well as the various coping strategies employed by women in response to abuse.
